Wild Horse Mountain Farms is pleased to be hosting a 3-Day Intensive Clinic with Clay Wright on Sept. 14, 15, and 16, 2025!
This clinic will comprise of Arena In-Hand and Mounted Work followed by training in the ‘Mountain Trail Obstacle Park’ on our Internationally rated trail course.
Clay is a scholar and teacher of classical dressage. His patient, clear, and thorough way of teaching helps people and horses relax and absorb the lessons of balance and refinement. Participants will gain confidence and learn how to perform to their maximum potential by learning how to understand the ‘intelligence’ of the heart of the horse.
The true essence of the horse and nature are one. Each reflects the other. Yet, the horse as well as nature are both light and dark. Clay Wright works with the horse in this realm. You can learn to do the same. Working within this realm is what is truly effective and understandable to the horse, without destroying the horse’s true nature.
3-DAY INTENSIVE CLINIC
- CLASS A: FULL DAY 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM… price $750 per rider
- CLASS A: HALF DAY morning or afternoon… price $375 per rider
Class includes:
8:45 AM – 10:30 AM: “Biometrics & Philosophies” and “The Power of Presence” classroom presentations (breakfast included)
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: In-Hand: Foundation Principles of Horsemanship – from the basic work in the halter up to teaching the lateral work to build collection.
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Riding: Foundation Principals of Horsemanship – from novice to advanced riders. Includes adjusting the paces within the gaits; normal, working, medium, collected, and lengthened.
- CLASS B: LATE DAY 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM… price $375 per rider
Refined Horsemanship – Arena
Advanced, upper-level work
Must be invited by Clay
RESERVATIONS:
Stalls/paddocks: $35/day
Stall stripping charge: $20/stall (omit if you clean)
RV sites: $25/night – no dry camping
Bunkhouse-style Lodging: $75/night or $60/night if you bring your own pillow and bedding
CLINIC DEPOSIT FEE:
A $350.00 deposit per clinic is required to secure your participation spot in the
clinic. Deposits are non-refundable.
The remaining balances are due 30 days before the clinic. This includes stabling
and accommodation fees. Balance of payment is non-refundable unless you can
fill your spot.
CANCELLATION:
If you cancel out of the clinic at any time, the $350.00 deposit is forfeited.
Your balance of payment will then be applied to a future WHMF clinic as a
credit, (less a $50 Cancellation Transaction Fee). This credit will be good for 2
years as of the date of cancelled clinic.
AUDITORS WELCOME!
- CLASS A & B FULL DAY: 8:45 AM – 7:30 PM… $45/day and includes breakfast and presentations. You’ll see in-hand and mounted. PRE-REGISTRATION is required – email lindamwags@aol.com
- CLASS A & B SHORT DAY: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM… $35 for 1 day; $60 for 2 days; $85 for 3 days. You’ll see in-hand and mounted.
